Our body produces cannabinoids on demand to help regulate physiological functions, but these are not stored or constant. Often levels can deplete and as such we may feel higher levels of pain and inflammation. We can supplement our natural cannabinoids by applying CBD topically, allowing the CBD to absorb deep into skin during the day (transdermal absorption).
CBD molecules absorbed by the skin can reach the hypodermis where they interact with the receptors that mediate pain and inflammation. CBD is highly antioxidant, and so has an anti-inflammatory
effect on joints and muscles when rubbed on the skin.
This makes CBD a potentially powerful anti-inflammatory agent.
Our range of CBD oils and skincare can all be applied topically to aid anti-inflammation - and are blended with a range of Ayurvedic essential oils with complementary properties to amplify the effect such as bitter orange, basil, chamomile and fragonia.
